Yack Station Arts Hub is a unique space that has been created for local artists to work in and display their artwork.
The building which has been purpose built from predominantly recycled and re-purposed building materials provides small studio spaces for local artists from Yackandandah and the surrounding area as well as a gallery shop of local and Australian artwork. Visitors to the Arts Hub have the opportunity to purchase many original art pieces on site.
Workshops in various art mediums are held on a regular weekly or monthly basis . These include but are not limited to clay building, ceramics, calligraphy, spinning and weaving, jewellery making with polymer clay.
The tranquil location is the site of the old Yackandandah Railway which is no longer operational. A small railway museum is located in a re-purposed guards van which is built into the main building structure . The museum houses a number of photographs of the old Yackandandah railway station as well as a model of the Yackandandah and Beechworth railway stations.
