Situated inside The George Hotel on St Kilda’s Fitzroy Street, the Melbourne Wine Room is what happens when quality food and wine combine. The small dining room can feel a little frenzied at times, overshadowed by the adjoining bar, but the unobtrusive and professional service, innovative, refreshing Italian fare and excellent wine selection make for a damn fine experience. Alternatively choose to sit in the adjoining dining room where the ambience is a little more mellow and relaxed, but the food as delicious as ever.
